With the recent arrival of strong cold air, temperatures across the country have plummeted, and many places in the north have experienced significant rain and snow. In light of this, tqpumps would like to warmly remind all our new and existing customers to ensure that proper anti-freezing and insulation measures are taken for all types of water pumps during winter.
If the water pump has not been installed or if it has been installed but not yet tested with water, please check whether there is any residual water inside the pump body that has not been drained to avoid freezing inside the pump chamber (as our products undergo a hydraulic pressure test before leaving the factory, there might be a small amount of residual water inside).
For outdoor use or indoor water pumps or pump units without heating, please take measures to insulate the water pump. For example, adding insulation layers, applying anti-freeze paint, etc. Pumps that are not in use should also have their water drained to prevent freezing due to low temperatures, which could cause the pump body to crack.
For those currently in operation, before starting the pump, first check for any ice formation inside the pump chamber. Do not force start the pump; it is necessary to externally heat the pump body until any ice inside has melted before starting the pump.
Damage to water pumps caused by freezing due to water inside the pump chamber is considered damage from natural causes and is not a product quality issue, hence it is not covered by free maintenance. To avoid unnecessary losses and ensure the normal operation of your water pumps during winter, please make sure to properly winterize and insulate your pumps.
